Which wood chipper for which customer?

Garden centres and rental shops sell compact chippers for branches up to 50–76 mm: light, easy to move and simple to maintain. Landscapers, arborists and municipalities need towable drum or disc chippers that take 100–150 mm branches all day.

For forestry contractors and large estates there are disc chippers with hydraulic auto-feed and a commercial 200 mm model. Electric versions (230 V or 400 V) suit workshops and green-waste yards, and PTO models run from the customer’s tractor.

Wood chippers: frequently asked questions

What branch sizes can these chippers handle?

From 50 mm on compact models to 127–152 mm on towable drum chippers and 200 mm on the commercial disc chipper with hydraulic feed.

Petrol, electric or PTO?

Petrol for mobile work, electric (230 V or 400 V) for fixed sites where noise and fumes matter, and PTO for farms that already own a tractor.

Can wood chippers share a container with post drivers?

Yes. Mixed containers are common: chippers, post drivers and spare parts in one shipment, FOB, CIF or DAP.
